5 Fabulous Ways to Repurpose Your Empty Candle Jars
As far as we can see, there is only one downside to your favourite candles - they will eventually burn out. When this happens, you are left with the cute jar it came in, and being eco-friendly, we have come up with some great suggestions to repurpose your empty candle jar. We have tried all of these with our empty glasses and trust us; you may need to get some more candles so you can try all of them!
Mini Plant Pot
First up, we have the mini plant pot. There are loads of benefits to having plants in the house; they are great for cleaning the air and bringing the outdoors in has been proven to help with mental health, especially in the winter when it is grey and miserable outside. Cacti makes fabulous roommates if you aren’t so great at remembering to water your plants, or you could create a herb garden giving you fresh ingredients whenever you cook.
Makeup Brush Holder
If you keep meaning to organise your dressing table, you might want to consider turning your empty candle jar into a makeup brush holder. This keeps everything in one place, and you could even paint or decoupage the exterior of the glass to better fit the decor in your room. Of course, it doesn’t need to end there; you could use another jar for hair ties, one for lipstick; the list is only limited by imagination.
A used candle jar can also be a great way to reduce the clutter on your desk as it is the perfect size for pens and pencils. With more of us working in an agile way, splitting time between the office and home, our desks have become a new focus for interior design. You get more freedom than you do in a shared office space, so it’s a great time to make your home office a reflection of you and an area you enjoy spending time in.
Pet Treat Holder
We are a nation of animal lovers, so if you have a pampered pooch or a cherished cat, why not consider using your empty candle jar to hold some treats. This is a great way to keep them at hand, especially if training a new puppy or working on minor behaviour issues. Keep a pot by the front door if you have a hound that jumps at visitors and instantly reward them managing a gentle greeting with a morsel of their favourite treats.
Tea Light Holder
Finally, you could use your empty candle jar to add some tealights to your space. If you have one of our delicious scents radiating in the room, you can add more atmosphere with some scent-free tea lights. Adding instant ambience, and creating more natural light, so you do not need the harsh overhead bulbs. It is an excellent setting for a movie night with your significant other and adds a little romance to your evening.
